The Defenseless by Amos Keppler

456 tightly spaced pages. Hardcover edition. ISBN 978-82-91693-08-8

   Release date July 21, 2010.

Sales price US $37.50, Europe €31, UK £25 (probably considerably less on most online stores). The novel is 175 000 words, and would have been far more pages if I had used the spacing and font size some established publishers do.

If the store near you desn't have the book or claim that they can't order it for you, give them the author, title and ISBN number and insist that they order it. Several of the world's largest distributors offer the book. That means it will be available also in non-english speaking countries. If you, for instance live on continental Europe and your store has an English language book section (which most stores have today), it should most definitely be available there.

            THE BOOK

The two rivers meet and join in the city of Denver, becoming one...

The two dark brothers, growing up with their sister Linda in a mundane, average suburb, a place well entrenched in modern United States and the world, have since their moment of birth been at odds with the world... and with each other.
Mike and Ted Cousin are not who they are. There is a mystery here, one of birth and upbringing, one of fate. Violence and death, blood and fire follow them all the days of their lives. The fire is resting somewhere inside... waiting for the Spark.
Their parents know something, but are not telling it. The policeman Mark Stewart and their aunt Trudy do, too. Everybody knows something, pieces of the whole, but nobody knows the whole truth, nobody telling it.
The ancient power is returning to the world, a world massively suffering from physical and spiritual poison, on the brink of collapse and a collective tailspin suicide run without its like in human history. Magick is returning from its long exile. Thus begins the story of the wild beasts rising from their ashes.
The Spark is struck, horrible and terrifying.

First book of ten in the Janus Clan series: Ten stories of the wild man in the modern world, forty years of wandering, before the Phoenix is rising from its ashes.

      THE STORYTELLER

Amos Keppler was born on earth, not so long ago. He has lived most of his adult life on the edge of society, opposing its inhuman, life hostile system of things it's creating. He has no formal education, no one has taught him writing or anything else. He has taught himself everything he knows, something he's very pleased with. Already at the age of eight he started his career as a gambler by playing Poker, Black Jack and a host of various games. In addition to being an artist full time he's also a practicing witch and rebel (a 48 hrs day is never sufficient). He's a Nomad, making many Journeys. In his opinion human beings are natural nomads and that this should ever be an integrated part of their life.
His first novel, The Defenseless (finally published and soon in YOUR hands), he began at the age of twelve. He started his own publishing company because he wants independence, and because he has been convinced a long time ago that no publisher will ever publish his works, at least not in a way even close to how he wants it done.
His first English novel, ShadowWalk, one of the most controversial and offensive novels ever written has plagued the world for seven years now.
At the dawn of the artist/publisher age true artistic freedom is no longer a distant dream.
